This holy month is incomplete without sitting with the family during Iftar and Suhoor. Generally, Pakistanis make pakodas, fruit chaat and Rooh Afza for Iftar. Ingredients for Chicken Cheese Roll Recipe

To make Chicken Paneer Rolls you need the following ingredients.

For Filling

  • Cooking oil – 2 tbsp
  • Chopped garlic – 1/2 tsp
  • Boiled and chopped chicken – 250 grams
  • Boiled corn kernels (optional) – 1 and 1/4 cup
  • Chopped Spring Onion (Hara Onion) leaves – 1/2 cup
  • Crushed Red Chilli – One and a half teaspoon
  • Add salt – 1 teaspoon or as per taste.
  • Black pepper powder- 1/2 teaspoon
  • Capsicum (capsicum) chopped – 1/2 cup
  • Onion powder- 1 teaspoon
  • Cream – 1/2 cup
  • Mozzarella cheese – 1/2 cup
  • Cheddar cheese – 1/2 cup

For Folding:

  • All-purpose flour (maida) – one and a half teaspoons
  • Water 1-2 tbsp
  • Roll sheets
  • Cooking oil for frying

Procedure

  • Take a wok or a large pan so that it is easy to stir the ingredients.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil and garlic until golden brown.
  • Then add the boiled and chopped chicken and kernels and stir.
  • Now add red chillies, salt, black pepper and onion powder and mix well.
  • Then cook the ingredients for 2-3 minutes.
  • Reduce the heat and add the capsicum, spring onion and cream, then mix and cook for a minute.
  • Once everything is mixed, turn off the flame and keep aside.
  • Allow the mixture to cool completely.
  • Once cooled, mix the mozzarella and cheddar cheese and set aside.

For Assembling

  • Take all purpose flour and mix it with water to make a slurry.
  • To make assembling easy and mess-free, take a baking tray and line it with cling film. If you don’t have cling film, you can oil the tray.
  • Add the mixture to the tray and spread it evenly.
  • Then place the tray in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  • Take it out after 30 minutes and cut pieces according to the size of your roll.
  • Then take a roll sheet and place the pieces of the mixture in the middle of the sheet.
  • Fold the sheet from both sides and apply the batter on the surface of the sheet.
  • Roll up the sheet and there your chicken cheese roll recipe is complete.
  • For frying, add cooking oil to a frying pan and heat on medium heat.
  • Fry the rolls until they are crisp and golden brown.
  • You can store these rolls in the freezer for up to a month.
